How to Change Linksys Router Wifi Password

Do you know how to change the Linksys router password? If not, keep reading. Changing the router administrator password (especially the default one) will improve the security of your router so that others will not be able to access it using the router's popular password.
If you do not know the default router password, you do not know how to change the password, you should be able to get this information from the router manual. If you are new to a router, read this guide for a better understanding.

  1. Log in with the "admin" password. Leave the username field blank.
  2. Access the Routers website by entering the default IP address in the browser.
  3. The default IP address of the Linksys router is 192.168.1.1Locate the Management tab on Linksys.
  4. Under the Settings section, you must enter a new password in the Links fields Enter the password in the Confirm again field.

Change or reset your Linksys WiFi password

If you use a standard Linksys router, you can reset your WiFi password with this router.

  1. Log in to the router by opening the browser window and going to http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
  2. Your current username. Please login with a password. For more information about how to use the Linksys router, visit our guide. If you are not able to log in, you may have to reset the router to factory default settings.
  3. After entering the router, go to Wireless> Wireless Security. Older models would say "wireless settings" instead of "wireless security".
  4. Enter a new wifi password in the passport field.
  5. save Changes.

If you are not yet able to change the default Linksys router password, you will need to update the router firmware. After upgrading your Linksys router, go ahead, reset your router, and reconfigure it.
